The Scotty Gear Head Mount Extender is made of fiber reinforced nylon and offers a drop and lock system that is quick and easy to use. You can quickly move or twist the gearhead to re-position the rod holder once it has been firmly secured. It can be used with all Scotty rod holders that use a post mount system.
Reinforced nylon that contains engineer grade fiber is used to craft the extender allowing for maximum strength and durability. The reinforced nylon is also resistant to corrosion and extremely resilient. The Gear Head Mount Extender extends the actual height of the rod holder by up to 9 ½ inches.
